Project Pollux is the establishment of a new Janssen Supply Chain Lentiviral Vector (LVV) production facility in Sassenheim, the Netherlands to be organized as a new business unit for Janssen Biologics (JBV). This biologics manufacturing facility is intended to become a key supply option for commercial LVV in support of the global Janssen BCMA CAR-T program for multiple myeloma, a disease affecting ~160,000 patients annually. 

The Pollux production facility is currently under initial design development, with the following milestones in the long-lead project plan:

⦁ Completion of preliminary engineering (Basis of Design)

⦁ Completion of full (detailed) design

⦁ Facility construction and building commissioning

⦁ Facility and production equipment qualification

⦁ Producing validation batches, site approval, starting routine production

For this project, Janssen Biologics is recruiting a Cold Chain Lead to work within the Operational Readiness department to support this new facility now and in the future.


 

Job Summary:

You are accountable for ensuring a seamless startup of the inbound and outbound cold chain of the Lenti Viral Vector manufacturing site at the Sassenheim location (Business Unit 5). You are also accountable for a safe and sustainable work environment (physical as well as mental) and is a Credo champion in the way the job is institutionalized and a role model of leadership. You also ensure that processes are followed and that both processes and work environments are continuously improved upon to quality of cGMP and EHSS, with the support of Process excellence principles. Furthermore, you have knowledge of cGMP, EHSS, and Process excellence on a level suitable to this position. Lastly, you ensure, your team has the correct knowledge of cGMP, EHSS and Process Excellence, WOF (Workforce of the Future), and digital capabilities so they are proficient in the required skill sets.



 

The responsibilities and the impact YOU will have:


 

The area of responsibility of the job holder covers the project phase including the delivery of the PPQ batches. In this role you are:

Pro-actively leading and managing the Outbound Supply Chain subjects:


 

⦁ FPX method to set up the Outbound activities.

⦁ Tie in the Change control activities in the umbrella Change Control of the project.

⦁ Planning and coordination of all activities on time and within budget.

⦁ Investigate and analyze the feasibility and opportunities of critical actions.

⦁ Write / delegate procedures, work instructions, and templates involved.

⦁ Initiate and manage risk assessment and critical path.

⦁ Contact stakeholders and team members to find the best solutions.

⦁ Contact with receiving parties and internal clients.

⦁ Reporting results, archiving documents in a structural manner; prepare presentations.

⦁ Set up the Outbound Supply Chain in close cooperation with all Stakeholders involved (E2E process).

⦁ Ensure QA, EHS, and GDP compliance in the E2E process.

⦁ Inventory accuracy by means of cycle count performance and troubleshooting.

⦁ Act on constraints and escalation to the owner of materials or project lead.



 

To be successful in this role you should have the following Qualifications and Key Competencies: 


 

Qualifications:

⦁ HBO/WO or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

⦁ At least 5 years experience in practical industrial experience, preferably in a supply chain environment.

⦁ Fluency in the English language in word and writing. 

⦁ Experience with working in a GMP environment.

⦁ Working with relevant planning tools and having in-depth experience with temperature-controlled shipments are strong advantages.

⦁ E2E process thinker, analytical with fine soft skills, and empathy to be able to build bridges between the many disciplines within Janssen and their suppliers and customers in the E2E process.
