The Project:

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for the management of third party logistics activities in the UK and Ireland relating to the warehousing and outbound transportation for the Consumer sector, ensuring performance that meets or exceeds customer and business needs, within a defined budget and in compliance with all quality and regulatory guidelines. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational:

  • Management of 3PL’s to agreements between J&J and the third party and in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Plan and manage all distribution activities to meet or exceed agreed KPI’s to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Support periodic business and performance reviews to help drive improvement.
  • Ensure strict compliance to GDP, Quality, Regulatory, SOX and HSE requirements and support any associated audits.
  • Drive efficient incident resolution to the satisfaction of customers and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development of business plans and budgets.
  • Regularly review and approve spending, highlighting any risks or opportunities. 
  • Lead and support projects/program management.
  • Ensure alignment between J&J and 3PL operating systems.
  • Work with supply chain and world-wide transport to optimize inbound flow of goods. 
  • Act as the main Deliver contact and support resource for all other J&J functional areas. 
  • Ensure all training requirements are completed on time.

  • Collaborate with other functions, sectors and stakeholders on future strategies to optimize distribution operations and develop logistic solutions to support future business growth.
  • Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement to increase customer experience and drive down cost.
  • Openly engage with end to end partners to ensure alignment on projects and operational changes to minimize risks


Professional Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Mgmt, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or Finance preferably in a multinational/healthcare industry required. 
  • Project management experience, FPX certification is a plus. 
  • LEAN and/or 6 sigma experience, certification is a plus
  • Fluent English speaker.


Other Requirements:

  • An experienced distribution or logistics associate who’s used to working with 3PLs / transport providers.
  • Previous experience with major multinational wholesaler organizations. 
  • Strong customer focus with proven track record of improving customer service levels and/or operational processes and productivity.
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes.
  • Knowledge of industry product labeling and barcoding requirements.
  • Knowledge of GDP requirements.
  • Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong team player with good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Enjoys working in a challenging environment and being part of a team.
