DevOps Test Automation Engineer 


Location: Limerick

Duration: End of year initially, strong likelihood of extensions

Hours: 39 hours per week. On-site

roles and responsibilities

This role supports the Technology Services side of the business responsible for automating the testing processes of MES. This involves:

  • Responsible for the deployment and configuration of existing and new MES systems in Belgium and Switzerland 

  • Supporting upgrades of MES systems 

  • Support building a strategy for implementation of MES systems in new sites 

  • Working closely with MES Vendor 

  • Working on the Cloud (Azure) 

  • Test automation (Robot framework) and validation testing 

  • Working closely with IT and local managers dealing with requests coming in for changes, updates and running tests

  • Linux/Windows administration

  • Collaborate with teams while being open and collaborative  

  • Assist with continuous improvement

  • Working in a fast paced environment


how to succeed

  • Strong Azure experience. Experience with other cloud providers beneficial.

  • Robot framework (or similar test automation framework such as qTest or QF-Test)

  • and BDD (Gherkin)

  • DevOps tools experience eg. Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, Powershell, Groovy, Python Beneficial  

  • Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, Installation Verification 

  • Kubernetes, both administration and application deployment

  • SDLC background or experience and working in a GxP controlled environment

  • API and web services, either/both test, implementation and integration experience

  • Shop floor manufacturing technology experience, such as MES, Historian, SCADA

This role offers a very competitive and negotiable hourly rate. 

This contract will run until the end of the year initially and has a very strong chance of extension as this could be a long term project.
