Essential: Strong EHS risk assessment, qualified engineer in a technical field or a safety qualification. 5 years on site construction experience & experience in management systems such as ISO14001/18001 / ISO45001. German & English mandatory

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Who we are looking for
Mechanical/Engineering background and ideally an advanced training/Master/Ph.D degree in engineering
Work experience in a similar function
Practical experience in technical support of biotechnological manufacturing facilities including aseptic manufacturing areas and infrastructures
Knowledge of GMP-requirements and their technical implementation in cleanrooms and health, work & safety and environment requirements are an advantage
Experience in project management
Good communication in German and English
Knowledge on problem solving and communication preferred
Good PC-skills, enjoy working with IT-Systems (SAP)
Initiative and team-oriented personality with strong communication skills
Aim of the position - Main Responsibilities
Support annual CAPEX investment projects from an EHS perspective, e.g. prepare/review/approve work permits, check construction sites, advise and check suppliers on site
Lead, undertake and approve EHS risk assessments
Provide advice on hazards, risks and control measures
Support delivery of agreed EHS goals and objectives e.g. Toolbox Talk or introduction to Good Saves and EHS Capa CURVE System
Support management in the development and deployment of EHS risk control processes, procedures and programs
Provide coaching and mentoring support to department managers and employees to improve EHS performance
Build effective working relationships with staff and key stakeholders including site and corporate EHS functions

Education & Experiences
Qualified engineer in a technical field (f.e. engineering) or a safety qualification
Min. 5 years on site construction experience
Supervised projects
Knowledge of GMP working environment
Experience in further development of safety culture
Experience in management systems such as ISO14001/18001 and ISO45001
Skills & Competences
Bi-lingual; German and English
Effective communication skills at all levels within the organization
Willingness to drive continuous improvement in EHS system to make it leaner and more efficient
Able to persuade and influence to drive EHS performance within the technical services department
Proven track record in being able to plan and deploy EHS projects and/or assignments in time, budget and agreed quality of requirements
Must be a credible EHS competent person; willingness to learn/develop skills to be remain an effective and rounded EHS professional
Work well as part of a team and able to work on their own
Build and maintain effective working relationships; work collaboratively
Maintain professional integrity at all times
This job in our CapEx/CAR-T project team is based in Bern, Switzerland.
