Location: Limerick

Duration: 12 months

Hours: 40 hours per week. On-site

Primary responsibility to identify and implement innovative engineering technologies, which will deliver highly efficient and cost-effective processes and equipment. 

Also responsible for providing engineering and processing expertise for a range of products and materials within Injection Moulding and associated applications.



roles and responsibilities

  • Perform planning, development, facilitation of design and installation of Injection Moulding and Manufacturing equipment, and other associated equipment and processes.

  • Ensure that equipment meets company specifications, schedules and budgets.

  • Develop and execute equipment validation testing (MOC, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ etc.) for the qualification of new equipment.

  • Perform change management activities and deliverables associated with the installation and qualification of new equipment and upgrades to existing equipment and processes.

  • Provide key inputs and leadership into transformational process developments.

  • Actively interface with cross-functional team members, always practicing good teamwork in support of day-to-day operational and project requirements.

  • Responsible for Project Management activities including timely and accurate reporting on project activities.

  • Support the implementation of all engineering and plant strategic initiatives.

  • Provide troubleshooting expertise to resolve equipment, systems and process problems where applicable using strong statistical methodology.

  • Provide training and develop technical problem-solving skills among other functions where applicable.

  • Lead or actively participate in cross-functional teams to ensure NPI and R&D projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the team.

  • Develop and maintain a Credo & Behavioural Standards based culture within the group.

  • Ensure effective and timely closure of Quality System documents.

  • Work with team leaders to develop and implement strategic engineering Goals & Objectives.

  • All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.


how to succeed

Essential:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science or similar disciplines.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a validated Medical Device or Pharma environment. 

  • Proven track record in Project Management.

  • Knowledge of equipment installation and validation – SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, etc.

  • Experience in performing change management related to equipment and processes.


Desirable: 

  • Experience in managing or supporting procurement and project budgets.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments or projects in parallel. 

  • Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong influencing and decision-making skills, technical decision-making capability.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, planning and organizational skills.

  • Experience in managing responsibility and taking ownership of complex technology.
