Facilities Engineer - 60% role (3 days - part time)

The Role:

The candidate for this role will support the Johnsons and Johnson Synthes sites of Zuchwil, Selzach and Oberdorf, while being part of the broader Sub regional Facilities team. As such he/she will maintain an active link between the E&PS (Engineering and Property Services) center of excellence and the sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages all Johnson and Johnson Asset Management programs executed by IFM partner company and makes sure observations are followed up accordingly and where applicable brought up to the relevant forums and are put into a financial planning process.

  • Supports Micro Regional Lead (MRL) for Non-Makes Sites in all aspects of administration, management reporting (financials, cashflow) and budget planning.

  • Responsible for coordination and liaison to Landlords where applicable (organization of regular meetings, meeting minutes and follow up of actions)

  • Manages all aspects of energy reporting, consolidating trending information and prepares reports to MRL and Senior Leadership

  • Supervises the maintenance and repair of technical equipment and the cleaning of the buildings.

  • Ensures that the fire protection requirements of the applicable standards and regulations (internal and external) are always met.

  • Participation in internal and external audits.

  • To support site external inspection (provide assistance in Front Room/Back Room during external audit).

  • Ensure that safety and environmental instructions are followed.

  • Supervises FM contractors in all aspects of the operation and maintenance of commercial/industrial HVAC and Electrical equipment including Chillers, Boilers, Air Handlers, Air Compressors, Cooling Towers, Electrical Substations, Standby Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Fire Protection and intrusion and Building Management Systems.

  • Mastery of project management tools and project methodologies (FPX, possibly JJPS).

  • Responsible for proactive personnel management, and set standards of performance for assessment, feedback, documentation controls, training/education, clean/conducive environment while promoting positive morale.



Required Qualifications

  • + 5 years of work experience in Healthcare and/or Pharma or MedTech industry.

  • Further education in the field of facility management, maintenance or similar, mandatory.

  • Several years of experience in facility management and in dealing with different owner/tenant relationships.

  • Business understanding: Knows the business and the functional skills necessary to

  • perform the job. Understand various types of business proposals and how companies operate in general, learn new methods and technologies easily.

  • Ability to set up and monitor measurement indicators.

  • Understanding of the application of cGMP practices, internal quality systems and methods to all aspects of own work.

  • Knowledge of ISO standards 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 and 50001.

  • Several years of experience in handling and implementing EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability) topics.

  • Very good knowledge of the Windows Office programs.

  • Experience in dealing with CMMS systems.

  • Good written and oral English communication skills and German native speaker.

  • Mastery of project management tools.

  • Expert in the NC process, ability to train and guide people in NC problem solving.

  • High safety thinking.

  • Experience in dealing with authorities and external institutions.

  • Strong team player skills

  • Able to manage and work on its own and bring different topics forward.

  • Able to communicate with Senior Stakeholders and prepare documents / reporting accordingly.
