Imagine your next project joining the Plant accounting team who is part of the Principal, Inventory and Costing (PIC) Operations Team and provide financial support and expertise to some of 10 manufacturing plants in EMEA. 

Key to this role is to be a subject matter expert in manufacturing accounting & analysis providing financial support to Supply Chain Finance and business support teams, ensuring that all financial processes are aligned across all Plants within the Region, ensuring the inventory, production & OCNIS accounting is accurate and compliant in line with Kenvue Worldwide Procedures (WWP).  The scope will touch on many areas of the financial statements of the plants, which carries a high level of responsibility and opportunity to grow for the right candidate.




roles and responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Regional Supply Chain organisation and local Plant team(s)

  • Provide financial expertise and support to Supply Chain finance and business stakeholders

  • Ensure the accounting accuracy for Inventory sections of Trial Balance:

    • Gross Inventory

    • Inventory Reserves

    • Direct GRIR

    • Manufacturing Variances

    • OCNIS (Other Costs Not In Standard)

  • Preparation of monthly variance analysis

  • Execution of month-end financial close process

  • Plant Stock Takes procedures alignment and process participation

  • Point of contact and key business partner for all inventory and production related month end closing activities and ongoing processes and queries for two manufacturing plants

  • Identify, explore and deliver continual process improvements within the area of responsibility taking into account the underlying principles of Eliminate, Standardise, Automate and Outsource standard activities to the 3rd-party contractors (“Manilarization”).

  • Participate in projects and drive changes, promote best practices

  • Cooperate with other EBS Teams and functions including CFMs, Inventory, Costing and Compliance teams

  • Work closely with the Costing team to manage and resolve costing issues for the plants in responsibility

  • Review, analyse and comment on financial performance vs targets 

  • Cooperate with Internal and External Audit as required.

  • Ensure strong internal controls are adhered to, in order to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings.

  • Accurate and timely month-end reporting. Meet all corporate and regional deadlines.



how to succeed

The preferred candidate will have experience in finance, particularly in supply chain or manufacturing, and demonstrate strong analytical IT abilities.

You will also bring:

  • Part or fully qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years financial experience

  • Efficiency in Excel and knowledge of SAP is preferred 

  • Strong Financial Accounting skills (US GAAP desirable)

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy with financial information

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities 

  • Process improvement skills, collaborative mindset open to a change

  • Ability to work under pressure, to meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Able to zoom in/zoom out and see the big picture



Benefits

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract is scheduled to last for a duration of 6 months, with a potential review for an extension.
