Imagine your next project working as a Graphic Designer for Johnson & Johnson Med Tech! The Lead Designer role will be an instrumental member of the Omnichannel team within J&J MedTech UKI, working with a team of talented and passionate marketeers across franchises to advise and build omnichannel campaigns whilst influencing stakeholders to create a step-change in our marketing approach.
The role will primarily partner with internal business units, developing creative and compelling assets for both internal & external facing audiences.
The successful candidate will also collaborate with our external design agency partners. Helping internal franchise teams translate their needs and ensuring quality assets are produced whilst maintaining high standards and safeguarding our brands.
The focus for this role will be on building industry-leading omnichannel customer experiences. In addition, congresses, presentations, strategic papers, patient information communications, social and print design will add variety for the right candidate.
A passion for UX is a must – the successful candidate will be proficient with using a mix of creativity, passion and data to drive impact and change behaviours.
The role is based out of Wokingham, with a requirement to be in the office for critical face to face collaboration sessions 1-2 days a week on a needs basis.
roles and responsibilities
Collaborate & communicate effectively and regularly with Business Units to inspire and motivate them, align their campaign activities behind the plan and gain feedback in order to:
Support in upskilling the organisation on creative & design approach i.e. good briefing, assessing creative etc.
Concept & Artwork creation: Congress stand artwork (internal & some external), presentations & reports, brochures, adverts, flyers, videos, social media ads, e-shots and other marketing collateral where necessary.
Updating existing sales collateral and documents.
Occasional video creation, editing and approval in line with brand / hospital strategy.
Completing multiple projects in a timely manner with the ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines.
Demonstrating expert application of design methods and practices.
Utilising knowledge of design, innovative thinking and cultural trends to guide solutions.
Fully understand briefs and translate into creative executions that drive commercial results.
Able to deliver high quality work, in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols, i.e. ABHI guidelines.
Partnering with congress organisers (internal & external) and print production companies to ensure on time delivery in line with logistical requirements.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams:
Communicate effectively and regularly with sales and marketing stakeholders via verbal and written communication and business meetings to inspire and motivate them, align their digital activities behind the plan and gain feedback.
Support in upskilling the organisation on creative & design approach i.e. good briefing, assessing creative etc.
how to succeed
We are looking for someone with Graphic Design experience, someone with great ability but also a passion for design. You will also bring:
>1-year previous experience in graphic design; healthcare experience preferable but not crucial
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud. Fully competent with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is essential.
Knowledge of creating and packaging print-ready materials!
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects is advantageous
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS is helpful
Project management experience
Experience working with remote and matrix teams / vendors is desirable
Good understanding of brand hierarchy and creative workflows
A strong contributor to team dynamics in previous environments
Professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise in pressured situations and communicate effectively during those periods
Internally focused relationship building skills; experienced in developing effective relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple commercial projects successfully
Fluent in English (oral and written)
