Location: Leeds OR Pinewood (team has 2 office locations)
Working mode: Hybrid, 2-3 days on-site either in Leeds or Pinewood
Duration: 12 months (opportunity for a contract extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay rate range: Competitive hourly rate (PAYE and Umbrella options available)
Imagine your next project as Healthcare Compliance Specialist at Johnson & Johnson. The successful candidate provides input to the design and development of the compliance program. Conducts assessments including planning the assessment and performing the testing. Monitors various systems to ensure healthcare compliance conformity. Participates in internal investigations consistent with legal guidance. Prepares communications regarding health care compliance policy and procedures for distribution to internal customers as well as external suppliers. Conducts post activity analyses with internal business partners and suppliers and documents findings. Verifies investigation results with relevant departments. Recommends corrective action plans where appropriate. Prepares work papers and reports with findings in healthcare programs and assessment.
The HCCS is responsible for implementing and executing various specific projects consistent with the business needs and standards in EMEA. The HCCS project work will focus on delivering business process improvements for better efficiency and effectiveness of the HCC program in Medical Devices in UK and Ireland in areas such as but not limited to third party intermediary due diligence, training, communications, policies and procedures, systems, monitoring, transparency. The HCCS will contribute to the implementation of the global and EMEA HCC strategy, working closely with HCC EMEA colleagues, Business Compliance, Legal and other key functions.
roles and responsibilities
Support the local monitoring program particularly for risks related to public tenders and hospitality limits.
Monitor HCP related activities, evidence, and reconciliation.
Support in the implementation of management action plans related to past audits and assessments, particularly in areas related to fee for service and sponsorship.
Support the local Educational Grant Committee, collecting requests, minutes, and tracking decisions.
Deliver HCC on-boarding training to new employees.
Review local procedures and support for updating relevant quality systems.
Review and update HCC related training materials.
how to succeed
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries (would consider someone from financial/auditing background, ideally medical devices background)
Minimum of 5 years of experience or related compliance function (regulatory, quality, finance, HCC, legal, other)
Requires knowledge of HCC/fraud and abuse laws; regulatory promotional practices; FCPA, financial or auditing practices; and company business processes and policies, such as Sales & Marketing, Medical Affairs, etc.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required, including formal presentation skills.
Ability to successfully manage ambiguity.
Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with both internal and external customers.
