Lab Analyst High Throughput and Preformulation Sciences (HTPS)

Location: Beerse, Belgium

Duration: 12 months

Hours: 40 hours per week, on-site

Imagine your next project participating in the evaluation of new analytical techniques and automated workflows to understand the physico-chemical properties of drug substances and products.

roles and responsibilities.

• You will play a crucial role in the preformulation sciences lab, focusing on experimental design and data interpretation to support drug product concept screenings.

• This will involve:

• Support the execution of experiments in the high throughput and preformulation sciences lab through preparations and data collection.

• Design, plan, execute, interpret and report experiments to understand the physico-chemical and biopharmaceutical properties of drug substance and drug product including solubility, (intrinsic) dissolution rate, log P.

• Provide support for drug product concepts screenings (e.g. nanosuspensions, solid dispersions, solutions) through analytical preparations and high-throughput screening.

• Participate in the evaluation of new analytical techniques in preformulation sciences, automated workflows and biorelevant testing.

• Work in a multidisciplinary team of researchers, internally as well as externally.

We are looking for a motivated professional with a relevant scientific degree and a strong analytical mindset who is eager to learn and grow within a laboratory setting.

You will also bring:

• Bachelor in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Technology or a related science with relevant industrial experience.

• Lab oriented person with a can-do mentality, analytical mindset and motivation to learn and grow as a lab scientist

• Experience with techniques for physico-chemical characterization of drug substance and drug product (UPLC, UV, dissolution, solubility…)

• Experience with or interest in high throughput robotic platforms e.g. Hamilton/Chemspeed is a plus

• Good communication and collaborative skills, team player who can work in a matrix organization to accomplish assigned tasks.

• Good speaking/writing skills in English.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a 12 month period. This is a full time on-site position.
