Imagine your next role as a (QC) Laboratory Technician within our OneLab department to strengthen our team. The successful candidate will have a background in the biologics/pharmaceutical/manufacturing industry as well as a relevant academic background.
About the department
Janssen Biologics B.V. is one of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, and is focused on the development, production, and marketing of vaccines and antibodies to prevent and combat infectious diseases. Within the One JSC Lab laboratories of the Janssen Supply Chain, the Stability laboratory is responsible for the Release and Stability testing of drug substance and drug product. The Stability Laboratory consists of five teams, each specialized in their own techniques. The separations department is responsible for all separation techniques within OneLab (e.g. HPLC)
Main Responsibilities
Training on and understanding basic testing and laboratory practices normally as part of a first-in-job learning experience
Provides support to the laboratory by performing operational tasks such as equipment maintenance and calibration, preparation of samples and reagents, document management, etc.
Generates results data, analyses data, and reviews with peers and supervisor
Delivers on test activities in line with the schedule and lab priorities with a good record of right the first-time testing
Learns about and adheres to safety & compliance best practices
Learns about working in a GMP / GLP environment and performs work according to these standards
Displays knowledge of products manufactured at specific location, and some understanding of the QC methods relative to the product quality
Continuously improves capabilities and expands responsibilities within the lab
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, analytical chemistry, bio-chemistry, or comparable
Written and oral communication skills in English. Dutch is desirable.
Experience with separation techniques; HPLC, MS, and capillary assays (cIEF/cSDS) is a plus
Analytical thinking and (technical) problem-solving.
Pro-active, able to work independently as well as in a team, flexible, and organized.
GMP experience is a plus
