Maintenance Engineer
Maintenance Technician
Location: Blackpool
Duration: 1 year
Hours: 37 hours per week, on-site. Hours rotate between early shifts (7am - 3.30pm, one week a month), mid shift (8.30am - 4.30) and late shifts (10.30am - 7pm, one week a month). Early finishes on Fridays for all.

roles and responsibilities
Will follow and promote company, HS&E and Quality standards to enable the site to achieve and maintain the required results for manufacturing, audit and traceability purposes.
Will provide a support function for the manufacturing plant and equipment to ensure it is appropriately and adequately maintained.
Will record equipment work history on the CMMS system and ensuring relevant documentation and procedures are duly maintained and updated.
Will adhere to the Change Control and Design Control requirements.
Will maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Will design and implement innovative controls and procedures to support the company continuous improvement environment.
Will support new equipment purchases, installation, and validation activities.
Will ensure maintenance of production equipment is carried out to agreed schedules.
Will support innovations for cost and energy reduction.
Will participate in equipment & Lean improvement activities.
Will monitor and control equipment spare parts.
Will support the facilities and production departments as and when required.
Will maintain a professional attitude and approach when dealing with internal / external customers or suppliers in line with the J&J global leadership profile and Credo.
Will provide a security service ensuring the site is opened and closed and to ensure that only necessary equipment and lighting is powered on prior to the site being locked up.
Will respond to call outs as necessary as an emergency key holder.
Will be responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Will be responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
Will be responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Will perform other duties assigned as needed

You will be able to work as part of a team and have great collaboration skills. You will be proactive and will have excellent time management skills. You will also bring:
3 - 4 years relevant engineering experience (preferably Time Served Mechanical and / or Electrical Engineer)
Excellent IT Literacy skills
Ability to communicate verbally with all members of the team
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
Knowledge of sites activities
Basic understanding of CMW manufacturing policy and standards
Ability to perform basic problem solving and adhere to the credo when making decisions
Knowledge and understanding of Quality systems and EHS requirements
Attention to detail
Excellent time management and forward planning
Work to deadlines
Ability to produce and work to written procedures
Proactive
Ability to learn complex tasks within the Work Center
