Imagine your next project working as a Marketing Manager for Johnson & Johnson! Support the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans in line with the regional Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JJI) sourcing priorities. Lead a series of external and internal engagements in support of business priorities. This role reports to the Innovation Activation Associate Director EMEA.


roles and responsibilities

  • In partnership with the JJI leadership team in EMEA and the Innovation Activation Associate Director EMEA, support the development of the vision, mission, and engagement strategy / plan to attract high potential, strategically aligned companies and drive value for current JJI portfolio companies

  • Partner with Communications colleagues across EMEA to support joint-initiatives and amplify messaging as needed

  • Responsible for engaging the JJI portfolio to grow brand affinity and secure portfolio content to be utilized in the strategic engagement plan   

  • Design, develop, implement, and report on activation initiatives for local JLABS business priorities, inclusive of external scientific, educational and business activations, sponsorships, but also internal events exclusive to resident companies

  • Partner with the Global Sourcing Activations Team for scientific sourcing initiatives that occur in region.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for JJI and its component parts in the region, inclusive of onsite support at major conferences and events


detailed tactics

  • Responsible for supporting the development of the regional strategic engagement plan including budgets and regular reporting touchpoints to ensure execution success

  • Manage the implementation of all elements of JJI programs assigned to the role (manage budgets, develop calendar, recruit speakers, manage logistics, RSVPs, healthcare compliance and legal approvals, etc.) 

  • Help ensure the lead generation process is supported through accurate reporting, data tracking to inform strategy and support the growth of the JJI EMEA portfolio

  • Accountable for tracking, analyzing and reporting ROI to Activation Leadership for regional digital social, programmatic and special projects metrics to ensure they are meeting business requirements/objectives 

  • Support for the regional marketing including posting of events on social media, cross promotion with partners, targeted LinkedIn internal and external posts, communication of internal events and follow up. This includes the development of strategic e-marketing plan and schedule to ensure optimal attendance results

  • Support initiatives for growing brand awareness, applications and demand generation via CRM, paid digital advertising, analyst and influencer marketing

  • Oversee creation of event materials such as: print programs, presentations, welcome slide decks, Event speaker management including scheduling, collection of speaker materials and slide decks. Manage attendee lists and badge production, survey creation, and event recaps, report final lists. Manage event logistics such as booking venue, obtaining permits and licenses, if needed, certificate of insurance, managing event setup and catering, coordinate event calendar entries, coordinate event setup with various teams (catering, security, janitorial, AV, operations) and calendar management

  • Manage and engage ongoing relationships with key internal and regional external stakeholders including strategic marketing partners, trade associations, sponsors, sponsored organizations, and collaborators by developing mutually beneficial agreements and tracking benefits to ensure optimal results 

  • Support JJI presence at regional conferences (sponsorship, speaking engagements, event planning, advertisements, booth, speakers, etc.) 

  • Support JJI corporate identity regionally through internal and external work (electronic and hardcopy newsletters or flyers, intranets, external websites, brochures, presentations, social media channels, SOPs, etc.)


how to succeed

qualifications required 

  • 5-7 years in marketing or communications

  • 3-5 years of experience in and knowledge of the healthcare sector / life sciences industry

  • Excellent event management skills


education

  • Bachelor of science in marketing or related field

  • Strong executive presence and experience of supporting senior leaders with outstanding professionalism, attention to detail and active listening skills
