Web Platform Specialist


Location: High Wycombe

Working mode: Hybrid, 3 days on-site and 2 WFH

Duration: 9 months initially

Hours: 37 hours per week

Pay rate range: Competitive hourly rate (PAYE and Umbrella options available)

You are a technical web expert and comfortable using multiple content management  systems focusing on front-end development and platform management. Your  responsibilities include supporting our customer-facing web platforms, creating web  pages and working closely with our web development partners. You’ll ensure websites meet regulations, troubleshoot technical issues, collaborate on solutions and test new  features. We’re looking for someone passionate about digital innovation and excited to  create engaging online experiences for our customers through front-end systems. 

roles and responsibilities

  • Working on multiple CMS tools to build, test and publish content online.

  • Knowledge in frontend development and current web design standards.

  • Leading multiple stakeholders in the compliant usage of the CMS tools and  continued upskilling of new features. 

  • Working with graphic designers and digital marketing specialists to build engaging  customer experiences. 

  • Work with SEO and analytics specialists to influence data driven decisions.

  • Deploy new, tested, features into UK instances of the website, in tandem with our  EMEA and Global counterparts. 

  • Encourage adoption of processes across the CMS to maintain standards and enable  iterative content updates. 

  • Ensure version control and naming conventions are maintained across all digital  platforms used. 

  • Working with integrated tools/platforms, supporting effective communication  between technical teams to encourage high standards and consistency.

  • Working with agencies/colleagues in the UK and EMEA (internal and external)  involved in the delivery of digital assets and content publishing - utilising digital  project management tools to stay on track. 

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with UK pharmaceutical regulations.


how to succeed

  • Experience in managing and publishing content using CMS tools.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CMS tools and the technologies used to run  website platforms. 

  • Familiarity with workflow tools (Jira and Confluence) or similar.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Figma with the ability to review and interpret designs. 

  • Good working knowledge of web design standards and HTML5, CSS.

  • A good understanding of digital metrics and GA 

  • Experience with CMS tools (Contentstack) and ease of learning quickly.

  • Experience with eLearning tools like Moodle (or willingness to learn).

  • Knowledge and experience of mobile-first, cross-browser/device testing and atomic  design systems. 

  • A keen eye for detail, to support brand consistency and regulatory compliance.

  • Confident, working with technical and non-technical colleagues to explain progress,  problems and solutions. 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 

  • A self-starter, naturally curious with a dedication to continuously learn and develop,  showing an ability to work iteratively, and innovate within a regulated environment.

  • Highly adaptable and well-organised, with an interest in making the role your own.

  • Comfortable working in a highly regulated but dynamic environment.
