Imagine your next role as a Materials Requirements Planner to be part of  The Global Material Requirements Planning team that is leading the replenishment of critical supply for the manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products for our patients. The team also masters inventory management and strives to minimize Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) stocks to best in class performance. 


Position Overview


The Materials Requirements (MRP) Planner/Buyer is responsible for the co-ordination and execution of all activities related to the planning and procurement of raw materials and components, converting the output of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the Detailed Schedule (DS) into material requirements to ensure availability of the right quantity of components to the production lines when needed!


Communicate with different suppliers to align the plan and keep all stakeholders updated. Be an integral part of a team that optimizes the flow of materials while considering the site' warehouse capacity and inventory targets to eliminate potential disruptions, minimize storage costs, and avoid material scrap.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute the plan's development, maintenance, communication, and publication to ensure patients/needs are met.

  • Maintain Raw Materials and Components inventories within our goal, while minimizing excess, obsolete, and expired materials. Contribute to the global balancing of stocks ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability, and cost.

  • Partner with Global Procurement and Suppliers to drive performance improvements including quality and timely deliveries.

  • Collaborate with Quality and Warehouse staff regarding rejected / defective materials, making the physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure timely return of goods or disposal.

  • Focus and encourage continuous improvement of the processes supported!

  • Support the successful introduction of new products or technical transfers and manage material and components Phase in and Phase Out processes.



The ideal candidate for this position should have:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or other related Business field is essential.


  • Supply Chain Certification is preferred e.g. APICS.


  • Lean Certification is desirable.


  • Relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics, or Manufacturing) is required.


  • Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multi-national environment preferred.


  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biopharmaceutical industry is preferable.


  • Experience in the use of SAP is preferred.

  • Development of efficient and effective Material planning supply chain management processes and systems.

  • Results-driven, while ensuring the optimization and efficient use of Janssen resources.


  • Contribute to the innovation and continuous improvement within Janssen.


  • Collaborative and cross-functional with all other departments within the company and to align across JSC and other J&J organizations.


  • Ensure department and personnel goals and objectives are completed in a timely and efficient manner.


  • Ensure a high level of integrity and implementation of Credo-based actions.
