Planning Lead (Supply Chain)

Imagine your next project working within the Global Planning team within the supply chain area where you will be responsible for a portfolio of projects, end to end.
roles and responsibilities
Maintains planning parameters in the system (including safety stocks and inventory targets), transportation lanes, replenishment methods, and process tolerance, also ensures parameters represent current supply chain capabilities.
Delivers on supply chain key metrics, back-order projections and allocations, OTIF-A
Ensure demand and inventory management systems are maintained and continuously improved to achieve state of the art business process technology.
Maintain and develop relationships with all key functions on site and off site to optimise supply chain flow.
Develops and leads implementation of optimization of supply chain capabilities (e.g. reduce lead times, optimise production rhythm) to further improve the supply chain.
Supply Chain Synchronisation
Evaluates the multi-echelon impact of supply disruptions and recommends prioritised actions to resolve and balance all relevant trade-offs. Leverages Scenario Planning capabilities.
Robustly manages and balances global supply for specified brand(s) in Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly. Maintains a clean planning signal (NRP) through robust master data management (Aged purchase orders, stock transfer orders and expired inventory/SLOB).
Manage communications and escalations of any risks that may be detrimental to customer supply
Drives communication through S&OP processes to ensure cross functional alignment on proposed optimal scenarios and ensures S&OP decisions are implemented.
Leads E2E Planning review for specified brands in S&OP processes and provides transparency of risks and opportunities to drive profitable trade-off decisions.
Periodically evaluates options to optimise the E2E value stream within the current SC infrastructure.
Drives implementation of standardisation of methodologies in E2E planning. Utilises process excellence/ six sigma tools to drive continuous improvement of E2E planning processes.
Exhibit positive leadership traits with ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation.
how to succeed
You will have a minimum of 3 years experience with the supply chain area within a highly regulated environment
You will also bring:
A minimum of a University Bachelor’s Degree is required.
A minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Systems planning experience is required
Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organisation in both written & oral forms is required.
Demonstrating strong decision-making ability in a multiple scenario environment is required.
Utilises business insight and financial acumen to drive E2E decisions & key outcomes is required.
Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) is preferred.
Benefits
This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a minimum of 12 months with a strong possibility of extending or converting into a permanent position.
