Location: Ringaskiddy, Cork
Duration: 12 months
Hours: 8.30 - 5.30, early finish on Fridays

roles and responsibilities
Collaborating with global functions including Quality, Operations, Engineering and R&D, the Process Development Engineer will be responsible for successful technical execution of strategic projects, providing technical leadership to support delivery of projects in full and on time within budget. The role involves working with a cross functional teams to implement advanced manufacturing processes and equipment sets. This will involve:
Writing test protocols, validation reports, trial paperwork, and robust procedures
Executing trials, gathering results and analyzing the data
Collaborating with other functions (e.g. Quality) to ensure robust execution of trials and validations
Compiling and analyzing information and talking to key people to solve problems that may arise
Participating in project updates to Project Leader and the rest of the project team
Technical Leadership of tasks and projects in the Process Development space, with a focus on development and qualification of metals forming processes and equipment sets.
Ensuring robust and compliant process development and validation to deliver stable, capable processes
Driving efficient & data-driven validation strategies using appropriate statistical and validation techniques based on overall risk
Managing assigned activities within budget and schedule supported by timely and effective communications
Liaising / collaborating effectively with key stakeholders for seamless implementation
Ensuring all activities comply with GMP, ISO and quality system requirements.
Ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental requirements are fulfilled.

A degree level or similar qualification in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
Experience in validation of manufacturing processes and/or equipment within medical device manufacturing or similar regulated industry
Influencing skills and an ability to communicate easily w. colleagues across all levels in the business

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for 12 months and has a strong chance of extension.
