roles and responsibilities
Process review and optimization of bone cement manufacturing operations process areas.
Active member of Value Stream with focus on Quality, Safety and Supply.
Pro-actively identify opportunities for improved value capture.
Execute Root Cause Problem Solving methods to drive value capture, remediating losses, and downtime.
Focused on identification and elimination of waste in processes.
Oversees communication to management of any Process Engineering non-conformance, subsequent corrective, and preventive actions, by documenting, investigating, and conducting root cause analysis, and successfully implementing corrective actions.
Administers process validations on ongoing Process Engineering initiatives for subsequent operational integration and supply chain implementation.
Input into machinery purchases, investigating new technologies for existing processes.
To follow and promote Company, HS&E and Quality standards to enable the site to achieve and maintain excellent results.
To liaise with outside contractors whilst leading projects from conception to commissioning and handover.
To ensure that processes are robust and as efficient and effective as possible.
Completes escalation and monitoring of process engineering issues or concerns to the next management level.
Manage change assessments in alignment with regulatory, quality system and safety requirements.
Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
how to succeed
Minimum 2 years experience in engineering / process engineering preferably in a medical devices / pharmaceutical environment.
Proven track record of installing / validating new equipment and processes in a highly regulated environment.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing Initiatives to deliver business benefit.
Ability to deliver projects on time and to budget.
Able to demonstrate process, equipment improvements and waste reduction savings.
Technical degree in related discipline (Engineering/Science/Chemical) preferred.
Minimum HND in related discipline.
Minimum of two years experience within same or similar industry.
Ideally certified to Green Belt standard.
Use of Microsoft tools.
Lean Manufacturing application.
Use of KPIs to improve business performance.
Good organization skills.
Ability to communicate and co-operate effectively at appropriate levels both orally and written.
Management of own workload and ability to work independently using own initiative.
