Process Engineer 

Location: Leiden 

Duration: initial 12 months

Imagine your next role as a Process Engineer where you play a pivotal role in managing product lifecycle, driving design changes, and ensuring compliance and product quality.



Responsibilities:


  • Manages and executes complex projects, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company standards and business needs.

  • Provides technical support and coordinates between component sourcing and suppliers for material transitions.

  • Leads labeling design projects, collaborating with global and local teams to meet regulatory and marketing requirements.

  • Works with the design team on manufacturing bills of materials (BOM) and coordinates changes with local engineering.

  • Leads cross-functional meetings to achieve consensus on labeling content changes.

  • Independently manages lifecycle product labeling input collection.

  • Represents the Labeling COE to stakeholders and handles escalations as needed.

  • Manages Unique Device Identification (UDI) compliance with local regulations.

  • Oversees design change projects and collaborates with teams to track progress.

  • Organizes review meetings to assess processes and risks, ensuring risk mitigation.

  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and all regulatory requirements.

  • Develops and implements validation procedures.

  • Ensures compliance with safety requirements and maintains safe working conditions.

  • Analyzes data to identify trends and determine causes of non-normal results, applying core GMP principles.

  • Communicates business issues or opportunities to management.

  • Ensures personal and company compliance with all regulatory, policy, and procedural standards.

  • Performs additional duties as needed.



To be successful in this role you have:



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline.

  • Work experience in engineering and/or package labeling in a medical device environment is preferred.

  • Experience in collaboration within a team environment across multiple time zones.

  • Good leadership and people management.

  • Have an orientated mind to drive world-class business results.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, good at coordinating different functions and leading teams to complete business goals.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment developing manufacturing standards 

  • Proficient in project management, creating credibility among team members, and expanding group capabilities. 

  • Experience or knowledge in short and long-term project management. 

  • Strong Organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
