The role 

The Product Artwork (PA) team manages launch and life cycle of all artworks (leaflets, labels, folding boxes, foils, Instructions for Use) for the J&J Innovative Medicine products, representing about 8,000 SKUs with more than 10,000 artwork changes annually.


The PA owns the Artwork Management Process and system (ArcTiC), serves more than 200 Local Operating Companies and partners with Regulatory Affairs, Global Planning, Customer Management, Global Brand Protection, Value Chain Management, Quality, J&J Technology, MSAT, R&D and Commercial.


Product Artwork is structured in three main pillars:

Product Artwork Design, responsible for: PA Design Guidelines, Development & Design of Instruction for Use, Secondary Packaging Artwork Global Design for NPIs


Product Artwork Coordination, responsible for: E2E Artwork activities (creation; proofreading; prioritization), oversight of Right First Time Artwork, Labeling Implementation timeline and artwork adherence to Design guidelines


Product Artwork Operational Excellence, responsible for: Systems & Processes, Vendor Management Strategy, Performance Management; SPOC for Quality event management & internal Audits



Key responsibilities:

The contractor will partner with distinct functions within Product Artwork (PA), Regulatory Local Operating Company (LOC), Demand & In Market Supply/ Customer Management, Pack Sites, Global Labeling & Compliance, Packaging CoE, Global Planning, among other stakeholders for timely and compliant mock-up and artwork creation.


He/she will continuously optimize the artwork coordination & creation processes in collaboration with various departments inside & outside the PA, with results measured in the framework of a performance/metric-based culture.

  • Coordinate the workflow of mock-up and product artwork creation for his/her assigned markets, including launches and life cycle changes of the product artwork portfolio within those markets (CA & APAC)

  • Collaborate with Product Artwork Design team for design approval of mock-ups and artworks prior to FDA and EMA Health Authority approval

  • Serve as supporting/lead contact within the PA for assigned product artwork-related projects/initiatives, including new product launches and life cycle management, and as a core team member within cross-functional/global projects and initiatives (CA & APAC)

  • Provide expert support for business partners (e.g., template, artwork creation & proofreading questions)

  • Facilitate issue management & resolution with agencies, print suppliers, Pack Sites, LOCs, and other stakeholders AW Creation Operations Liaison/Lead

  • Support capability & capacity building to support & transition to Automated artwork (including In-Design & Automation template expertise)

  • Creating templates for automated graphic artwork involving a mix of design skills, technical knowledge, and familiarity with automation tools, including:

  • Ensuring designs adhere to brand guidelines and client specifications

  • Creating reusable templates that can be easily customized for different purposes

  • Ensuring templates are flexible and can accommodate diverse types of content

  • Integrating templates with automation software to streamline the production of graphic artwork

  • Setting up data-driven graphics where content can be dynamically populated

  • Documenting the template creation process and usage guidelines

  • Providing training and support to team members or clients on using the templates



how to succeed:


Qualifications 


  • Experience in Pharmaceutical / regulated environment

  • Knowledge of cGMP, pharmaceutical legislation, regulation & guidelines, printed packaging materials, and supply chain processes

  • Experience/Expertise working with In-design

  • Ability to express yourself and present in English, tell a story and engage stakeholders

  • Workflow, process, and customer oriented, with proactive problem-solving mindset

  • Experience working in a multinational environment and dealing with complex stakeholder dynamics

  • Bachelor’s degree or equal by experience required

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Work in an international environment across different time zones

  • Occasional travel may be requested
