Location: Schaffhausen (hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days home working)

Duration: 12 months (highly likely to be extended)

Essential: Background in planning, production and SAP, fluent in English and German

Be part of Global Planning, Schaffhausen Fill Finish site platform. The Global Material Requirements Planning team is responsible for the planning and replenishment of direct materials and consumables essential for the production of our pharmaceutical products for our patients. The Material planning team leads the inventory management of materials while optimizing Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) values.

Planning and procurement of direct materials, converting the output of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the Detailed Schedule (DS) into material requirements to ensure availability of the right quantity of components to the production lines when needed; communicating the plan to the different suppliers within the agreed lead times

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Creation of new material SKU’s and maintenance of master data

  • Shipments management, invoice reconciliations

  • Support of finance team on Procurement and Inventory related items

  • Own product specific planning KPI’s 

  • Local product specific interface/single point of contact for Global Functions regarding tactical/operational topics

  • Single point of contact for upstream plants

  • Optimization of production schedules according to customer demand and available capacity (incl. scenario planning)

  • Guarantee optimal customer service and address potential future supply constraints

  • Material planning based on market demand

  • Internal coordination within Planning of scheduling of a particular line in case of multiple products running on the same line

  • Support of timely release in collaboration with local Quality Product Owner (lead)

  • Identifies issue and or follows up on escalated items that may impact supply in the horizon from week 6 to 24 months with the EPL’s/POC’s(STEM 2, Criticalities, Quality)

  • Own product specific MPS (generation, analysis, follow-up)

  • Ad hoc participation in Global VSL Team meetings & product specific representation of the site (lifecycle management)

  • Own local Value Stream Map of product and product specific KPI’s

  • Identify cost improvement and lean opportunities; keep overview on product specific site projects beyond tactical supply

  • Ensure objectives related to the goal alignment

  • Ensure Monthly planning cycle in collaboration with other functions, support Business Plan process

  • Makes and or coordinates simulations and issues recommendations for the Supply review meeting on asset/product level for the products under his/her product portfolio to support Management decisions

  • Compliance with the GMP, EHS and SOX requirements and guidelines, which are connected to the respective function

how to succeed

Education & Experiences

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced degree is preferred. APICS Supply Chain certification is preferred

  • 3+ years of related experience in MFG and/or Logistics/supply chain preferred. Preferable within the pharma industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   

  • Clear understanding of internal Supply Chain trends/flow

  • Ability to act as change agent/leader  

  • Collaborates effectively to achieve performance improvement

  • Knowledge of SAP required

  • Establishes effective communications 

  • High analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication.

  • Strength in interdependent partnering

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist.  

  • Ability to partner with others; look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels

  • High resilience
