In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and developing work processes that integrate customer delivery requirements into manufacturing plans. Roles and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the planning of finished goods production schedules, buying and purchase order management for raw materials, and the tracking and projection of inventory. This will involve:

  • Creating and publishing weekly detailed Master Production Schedules (MPS) to meet service and inventory levels.

  • Maintaining planning parameters in ERP systems to manage production work order flow and coordinate product shipments.

  • Monitoring production output through key metrics (plan attainment, WOS, OTIF, etc.) for business reporting.

  • Leading monthly supply S&OP meetings with internal and external teams.

  • Managing the purchasing of raw materials by analyzing inventory projections and optimizing safety stock settings.

  • Overseeing the weekly Material Requirement Planning (MRP) process to align purchase orders with MPS requirements.

  • Providing support for month-end financial reporting and reconciling purchase order invoices.

  • Guiding and mentoring less experienced planners.


How to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you must be a proactive and results-oriented professional with a strong background in supply chain. You will also bring:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology, Logistics, or Operations.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related business field.

  • Proven experience in planning, purchasing, or materials management is preferred, with a strong preference for demand, inventory, and/or supply planning experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Experience with MRP, APS, and/or ERP systems (Manugistics, JDE, or SAP experience is a plus).

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • APICS certification is preferred.
