Production Planning Facilitator / Planning Administrator - Leeds

This is an on-site role.

The Role:

The role will support the planning and procurement of raw materials and the manufacture of implants, Customs and Continuing Care products at the Leeds facility. Additionally the role will support daily operational activities such as scheduling and expediting priority work orders, managing daily product shipments and administrative support for the ERP systems (JDE and SAP)
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support operational plans for each product family in line with the requirements of the monthly S&OP forecast 
  • Manage production so as to maintain distribution centre stock levels and in line with customer requirements and operating entitlements
  • Facilitate daily shipments to J&J distribution centres
  • Create and distribute, as required, both system generated reports and individually produced reports and data (e.g. Backorders recovery, WIP summaries, Irradiation, etc)
  • Act as key contact with external vendors to regularly review and confirm planned deliveries and ensure supply is in line with the production plan
  • Plan and facilitate purchase orders for production materials in line with S&OP requirements
  • Maintain dialogue with Purchasing / Supplier Quality regarding problems relating to delivery of materials and WIP from sub-contract vendors
  • Identify and deliver improvements to the end to end planning and distribution process that provide a reduction in cost, lead times, material usage, or improve process quality standards
  • The ability to operate computer systems and access software packages such as JDE XE. JDE 8.12, SAP and APO 
  • Comply with all aspects of good manufacturing practice to maintain full material and product traceability
  • Should cooperate with their employer on all aspects of health and safety, and assist them in discharging their legal duties
  • Should not intentionally interfere with, misuse or damage any equipment provided in the interests of health and safety

Qualifications & Experience

  • Production Planning experience
  • Ability to work with detailed analysis of statistical information
  • Experience of MRP planning systems – JDE XE, JDE 8.12, SAP and APO
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills and ability to build relationships across the business
  • Experience of medical device industry, with knowledge of GMP practices
  • Knowledge of quality systems and related standards

In Return:

In return for this role you will receive a very competitive hourly rate. A minimum 6 month contract & an opportunity to work with a Global Leader within the Pharmaceutical sector, Johnson & Johnson.
