Janssen Vaccines in Bern, which belongs to the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, was founded in 1898 as the Swiss Serum and Vaccine Institute. At Janssen Vaccines in Bern, we develop and deliver innovative biopharmaceutical products, based on bacterial and viral technologies, for clinical trials up to launch. The site is involved in the COVID-19 activities of Johnson & Johnson. The innovation center for viral and bacterial vaccines and novel therapies already produced the Ebola vaccine at the same viral production platform in the last few years.

For a new project in Janssen Bern rolling from ASAP until end of 2023, involving the refurbishment of a production building we are looking for a:

Project Engineer (2/4 yrs experience)

 German at least conversational and English Fluent

Availability to work 100% at site

Educational background

Technical degree

2-4 years experience

This will involve / How to Succeed: 

Professional background

• Knowledge in the field of project management in the pharmaceutical industry, from planning, execution to commissioning of equipment, utilities (E-2-E)

• Strong technical skills in the construction of pharmaceutical sites and their infrastructure

• Extensive knowledge and experience in the core business and technical area

• Experienced in working with internal departments (development, operations, quality, technical services) to carry out projects, develop standards and define project requirements and priorities

• Experience working with different stakeholders, internally and externally

• Profound GMP-knowledge

Tasks

• Support the project lead Engineering & team

• Execute small work packages self-independently in consultation with the project manager

• Prepare documents (specifications, URS, specification) with internal customers

• Obtain and process quotations

• Support in writing investment proposals

• Coordinating suppliers incl. preparation of work permits in collaboration with EHS

• Create, prepare, file, archive project documentation

• Writing of SAP notifications

• Possibility to take over further tasks in the deputy of the project lead
