Location: Nijmegen, Netherland - Predominantly site based
Duration: 12 months

roles and responsibilities
Plan and perform experimental work, process and analyze data, and report on R&D projects, which may include:
innovating developing potential new products,
improving existing products and production processes,
developing and validating analytical methods.
Provide R&D support for Non-Conformances, Corrective And Preventive Actions, deviations and audit-related activities.
Support installation, qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Contribute to operational tasks related to R&D, including but not limited to:
stock management,
preparing purchase orders for laboratory consumables and chemicals,
conducting incoming inspections,
maintaining organization within the R&D laboratories and warehouse.
how to succeed
Education:
A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
A minimum of 3 years (B.Sc.) or 2 years (M.Sc.) experience in a highly regulated industry is required. Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
Preferred:
Experience in polymer chemistry, including the synthesis, purification, and characterization of polymers.
Hands-on experience with various analytical techniques such as NMR, SEC, KF and FTIR.
Experience in analytical method development and validation.
Being able to perform multistep organic synthesis.
Knowledge of ISO 13485.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant laboratory equipment software.
