We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager & Warehousing Expert to lead a complex warehousing project within our state-of-the-art facility. This hybrid role combines end-to-end project management with expert-level warehousing knowledge. The candidate will be responsible for successful project delivery while providing the functional leadership required to define the optimal warehousing solution. The candidate must understand the underlying operational challenges, take a holistic end-to-end perspective, evaluate alternatives and translate business needs into a robust, scalable and implementable solution.

roles and responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager & Warehousing Expert, you will take ownership of both successful project execution and the development of the right end-to-end warehousing solution.

This will involve:

• Lead the project from concept and design.

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks and dependencies.

• Lead a multidisciplinary project team and drive timely decision-making.

• Ensure alignment between operational requirements, engineering solutions and business objectives.

• Act as the senior Warehousing Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the project.

• Apply expert knowledge of internal warehousing, material flows, storage concepts and warehouse operations.

• Analyse challenges from a holistic, end-to-end perspective, considering impacts across the complete warehousing operation.

• Evaluate alternative concepts, challenge assumptions and recommend the best overall solution.

• Translate operational needs into clear functional requirements.

• Balance operational effectiveness, compliance, cost, flexibility, scalability and implementation constraints.

• Build strong relationships across Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Planning and other relevant functions.

• Align stakeholders with different priorities toward a common solution.

• Communicate effectively with both the project team and senior management/Steering Committee.

• Clearly present complex topics, alternatives, risks, trade-offs and recommendations.

how to succeed

To be successful in this hybrid leadership and expert role, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to challenge existing assumptions.

You will also bring:

• Significant experience as a project manager and managing complex warehousing, logistics or industrial projects.

• Experience working in a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is required.

• Expert-level knowledge of internal warehousing and logistics operations.

• Proven experience with warehouse concepts, layouts, storage solutions and material flows.

• Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English at both operational and senior management level.

• Ability to operate simultaneously as Project Manager and senior Warehousing Expert.
