Our Project Leader is responsible to lead project and issue management activities, strategic programs, and drive operational excellence between DePuy Synthes and our external manufacturing partners. This supply chain-based role will lead cross functional teams to ensure that all projects relating to Patient Safety, Quality, Compliance, Service, Growth, and Value are driven to exceed business metrics. This exciting role will be responsible for creation of a project business case, developing transformational projects and ensuring successful implementation of projects that will add value to the overall business.



Roles and Responsibilities


This role will also be responsible for leading critical supply chain strategic projects, supporting Value Stream Leaders for consideration into Product Strategy Roadmaps, supporting business process management and continuous improvement, execution and maturation of process governance with external manufacturers, flawless integration of newly stabilized products into E2E LCM process, and improvement of the End to End (E2E) supply chain processes.

  • Lead/Execute projects in line with standard project management guidelines

  • Lead critical issues and strategic supply chain projects impacting patient safety, compliance, quality, service, growth, and value.

  • Instill and maintain a sense of urgency and customer focus within the Supply Chain team in collaboration with external manufacturing partners.

  • Successfully integrate and improve lifecycle management process to achieve wider business objectives to deliver successful performance metrics to meet the needs of our customers.

  • Ensure that projects are performed in compliance with the Quality System and drives efforts to improve a culture of quality and compliance.

  • Develop strong business partner relationships throughout the organization to drive alignment on strategic priorities.

  • Develop in-depth understanding of various business processes, governances and supporting systems and the tools/templates used for project & portfolio management

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, including accurate and effective project planning, creation of shared team goals, delivering project in line with established milestone dates, resource management, capital/expense management, developing and implementing communication plans, leading resolution of risks & issues, risk management and balancing multiple activities to accomplish goals.


Partner with the Product Management team for relevant products throughout Stage Gates 3-6 to facilitate knowledge transfer into team and ensure seamless integration of newly stabilized products into the LCM process after completion of Stage Gate 6.


- May serve as the deputy of the Sr. LCM Manager

- May have people leadership responsibilities for Project Leaders (local contractor(s) or offshore contractor(s))


What We Look For In a Candidate



Education:


• Minimum Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Science, or a related Field required

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related Field is preferred

• Project management methodology certification (e.g., PMP/PMI, FPX) is preferred


You will also bring:


Around 2/3  years of work experience


  • Work experience within the healthcare (i.e. Medical Technology or Pharmaceuticals) industry

  • Project Management experience, including developing and implementing processes for new or existing products/process and/or new technologies

  • Proven ability applying project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and organizational change techniques

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written, presentation, meeting

  • management, documentation) to effectively persuade and work across segments and functions at all levels of the organization


Preferred:

  • Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Manufacturing experience

  • Familiarity with functions such as R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and/or Quality

  • MedTech industry experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies; certification is a plus


Other:

  • Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
