Job profile consultant Serialization External Supply Services (ESS) within Digital Operations & Technical Services (DOTS).

The role is for a project lead to enable serialization capability according to Buyer requirement within our network with JNJ Innovative Medicines CMO’s. 

  • Main responsibility is for leading a cross-functional team including representatives from Buyer CMO Management, Planning, Graphics services, Technical Services, Quality as well as representatives of the corresponding functions at the external manufacturers to enable the serialization of packaging operations at the CMO following the Buyer standards.

  • Responsibilities encompass definition, execution and completion of the project using the FPX methodology and reporting within DOTS ESS Serialization Management organization. 


Other activities in scope are: 

  • supporting in improving standard process for onboarding new CMO’s

  • supporting in rolling out standardized processes impacted serialization with and by CMO’s, e.g. tech transfers, onboarding, disengagement, NPI’s

  • supporting in defining and implementing a base business process for serialization within DOTS ESS across all CMO’s. 


how to succeed

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. 

  • 8+ experience in the areas of both general manufacturing (pharma DS or DP industries), program management and business management (business development, procurement, value chain management). 

  • Experienced with Demonstrated knowledge of serialization regulations and requirements for global markets. 

  • Good working knowledge of supply chain functions including Quality, Technical Operations, Finance, Planning and Procurement. 

  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain considerations. 

  • High level proficiency managing cross functional relationships – proven track record of managing cross functional teams

  • High level of credibility with internal customers, and within the external manufacturing supply chain community

  • Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints

  • Demonstrated flexibility to respond to changes in the external and internal environments
