Location: UK (Pinewood) or Ireland (Dublin)

Working mode: Hybrid/Remote

Duration: Contract initially running until the end of 2026

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Imagine your next project supporting the distribution of medical devices across EMEA and driving key Quality Engineering initiatives to transform eye health worldwide.

Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a Quality Engineer to support distribution of medical devices across EMEA.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting quality engineering processes for Johnson & Johnson Vision products in the EMEA Supply Chain. You will drive key Quality Engineering initiatives related to sustaining and improving performance as a member of the EMEA Commercial Quality team.

roles and responsibilities

  • Responsible for development of quality systems based on business, regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Provide training and consultation to various parts of the business and resolve procedural breakdowns.

  • Work with multiple QMS (Quality Management Systems) and demonstrate leadership skills.

  • Lead and participate in quality systems and engineering improvement initiatives, with specific focus on supply chain performance.

  • Utilise industry and process excellence standards in daily quality operations, including good distribution practices (GDP) and international organisation for standardization (ISO).

  • Address or escalate product and process complaints. Evaluates contract manufacturer performance metrics and supports management reviews.

  • Determine root causes of quality issues and develop corrective actions and recommendations.

  • Implement comprehensive measurement systems to monitor effectiveness of quality and reliability systems to identify, correct and prevent defects, demonstrating continuous improvement.


how to succeed

  • Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering related field preferred.

  • Medical device experience, preferably in a Quality role (4-5yrs).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence peers and leaders in cross-functional environments.

  • Self-starter, able to work effectively, and with agility, under limited supervision.

  • Familiar with Office applications and Adobe artwork files.

  • Project delivery experience (as part of core team, management would be a bonus but not required) preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written English proficiency required. Additional languages helpful.

  • Travel percentage – 5% travel domestically and internationally.
