Quality Specialist - Dock to Stock Project - Blackpool, England

This role is site-based

We are currently recruiting a Quality Specialist to join our contingent workforce in Blackpool.

This will be an initial contract opportunity for 6 months

The Role:

  • Work directly on delivering project actions related to the Blackpool Dock-to-Stock Project (D2S)
  • Provides support for special quality projects. Ensures and maintains a state of inspection readiness & Compliance in regards to actions from D2S. 
  • Performs in various quality functional areas. E.g Supplier Quality, Quality Control, QA
  • Liaise directly with suppliers on process / inspection changes
  • Maintains quality records on project outcomes, and stakeholder input filed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains project stakeholder communications and presentation throughout the project
  • Coordinates change control documentation and approval process.
  • Makes proposals and assists in the development of project plans and monitors implementation. 
  • Improvement of existing quality/supplier/receiving/manufacturing processes. 
  • Assesses current quality systems and recommends improvements in order to enhance quality and reduce cycle time.
  • Assists in the development, implementation and review of standard operating procedures for interactions with contract manufacturers.

 

Specific Technical Skills:

Essential:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (or University equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2 years of business experience in related supply chain, quality or supplier roles
  • Demonstrated action delivery and can-do/hands on behaviours
  • Demonstrated professional strengths, communication, leadership, collaboration, partnering, strategic, project management and matrix management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams with deep trust that can achieve in the face of challenges and constraints is essential to success
  • Stakeholder management

 

Desirable:

  • A degree in an Engineering, Science, or technical field
  • Previous experience in project management
  • Previous experience in Orthopaedics, medical device industry or other regulated industry
  • Previous experience in development of new processes and supplier liaison.
