The Role:

 

We now have a great opportunity for a Training Coordinator to join our Research & Development department that consists of 4 main teams; Hip and knee team, Live Cycle management team and Research & Test team 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Working within the Research & Development Team you will be responsible for providing support to all four management teams with:

 

  • Induction and onboarding processes where necessary
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Support Organizational change
  • Hold site induction tour, including fire evacuation plan 
  • Develop and constantly update the induction and Onboarding program
  • Maintain and track the New Starter’s onboarding for 6 months
  • Create effective guidance documents for induction and onboarding
  • Send out standard induction emails
  • Prepare induction documentation
  • Organise Induction meetings with R&D Managers 
  • Ensure Induction supply is in stock including headset, keyboard, mouse and computer bag
  • Ensure timely organisation and coordination of onsite customer visits and surgeon events, meeting room booking and set up
  • Project coordination support through documentation sign off reminders, organisation of meetings, delegates and venues 

 

 

Training responsibilities:

 

  • Create cost effective Training and Development program for R&D staff and Management team
  • Identify training needs and recommend and execute training solutions
  • Identify training GAPs and execute resolution
  • Liaise and negotiate training prices with external training companies while assure best value and compliance
  • Carry out training needs analysis and determine, specify content for external training
  • Support the Audit preparation from the Training perspective
  • Develop and maintain detailed training matrix for the Department
  • Support R&D Management team and Staff in training related issues
  • Support R&D management to maintain good results in training completion
  • Support R&D with training and training system related requests and issues 
  • Assure alignment between local and global training plan
  • Determine mandatory training for new and existing associates
  • Assure strategy and completion of Induction and Onboarding process for all new starters, graduates, department moves and role change
  • Create rosters for training events 
  • Develop knowledge and understand of the different Learning Management Systems and Document Management systems
  • Keep up to date with the LMS system changes and support the department with up to date knowledge
  • Contribute content via development of effective curriculums 
  • Monitor, review and approve required updates to the group of courses, procedures, or program requirements contained in a curriculum
  • Support biennial curriculum and training review 
  • Identify ways to continuously improve the service and quality of training delivery
  • Timely organisation and coordination of training programmes of materials, organisation of delegates and venues and collation of delegate feedback
  • Take responsibility for managing own workload to ensure deadlines and project timescales are met
  • Strong and collaborative relationship management skills and ability to adapt style and approach to different audiences
  • Creating a learning environment in which teams and individuals can perform at their best, improve performance and realise their potential
  • Format rosters for training events
  • Send out training invitation for attendees
  • To undertake administrative duties including updating records, assign training, changing reporting line in the Learning Management System
  • Creating Training Request in the system and follow up its completion
  • Assure appropriate timing with training assignments
  • Assure and maintain training accounts for absent users
  • Files hard-copy of training records
  • Updating and collecting Job descriptions 
     

 

R&D General Coordination:

 

  • Process all communications, including phone calls, email, correspondence, memos, meeting minutes, mail, and faxes. 
  • Prepares agendas and materials for executive meetings. 
  • Establishes and maintains support systems for structuring priorities necessary to the Executive. 
  • Assist in managing the executives schedule to include scheduling meetings and appointments. 
  • Coordinates and assists in developing associated business reports, and prepares presentations.
  • Organises files, performs data entry and analyzes data, and maintains accurate records. Handles confidential matters requiring discretion and judgment. 
  • Acts as liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including senior level management. e computer order is placed in a timely manner

 

Essential Skills Required:

 

  • Good computer literacy: working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to pick up working knowledge of document management systems easily
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Clear and confident communicator 
  • Strong organisational skills
