Principal Scientist - R&D Stability – Life Cycle Management
Location: High Wycombe (Hybrid working)

Pay rate range: £30 to £34.77
Imagine your next project, working in the position of a principal scientist, working within the analytical section and supporting marketed OTC products primarily within EMEA/APAC but also globally, providing guidance and support for developmental stability programs on changes to marketed products, technical transfers and change controls.
roles and responsibilities
The Analytical Lifecycle Management team is responsible for J&J OTC products worldwide. You will partner with cross functional peer groups and management in the planning and execution of project tasks within established timelines.
This will involve:
Responsible for the development of stability strategy based on global regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
Facilitate execution of the established stability strategy across functional areas and across internal and external sites, including stability study and method transfer
Document technical assessments and justifications
Review technical (stability and transfer) protocols and reports
Perform statistical analysis of stability data.
Present and discuss stability strategy and report stability results to project teams, to management and to governance boards as required.
Participation and leadership in initiatives to improve cross-functional collaboration, process efficiency, cycle times and productivity is expected.
Support for method transfer, troubleshooting, gap assessments on analytical methods
Manage external laboratories for stability program and analytical method transfer
Support for regulatory submission
how to succeed
To be successful within Life Cycle management, you will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in areas of stability, quality, regulatory, laboratory and/or R&D and in drug, device or biologics environments. Experience preparing stability protocols and stability reports and performing statistical analysis of stability data is highly preferred.
You will also bring:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. A focused degree in Science or Engineering is preferred.
Previous experience managing others is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of GMPs, ICH, CFR, stability guidelines and requirements, latest regulatory trends and global regulation required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Strong project management, coordination and multi-tasking skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively influence people, work with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects and complete tasks of various levels of complexity required.
Training and experience in Lean Six Sigma and Process Improvement methodology are preferred.
