roles and responsibilities

The Protein Therapeutics Stability Sciences and Characterisation team within BTDS AD is responsible for the clinical stability strategy, management of stability studies, authoring & review of protocols and procedures, trending of stability data, communication of project information and driving continuous improvement. Duties:

  • Apply analytical knowledge to interpretation of generated data and ensure high quality of the delivered results working with senior colleagues in AD.

  • Overall release and stability management of product(s) according to portfolio: Evaluate chemical and physical trends. Assist in drawing conclusions on shelf-life, retest period and storage instructions under the mentorship of the Scientific Integrator.

  • Serve as project leader and as a single point of contact, building product stability expertise.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills; act as liaison for local teams and global teams; serve as representative on cross-functional teams.

  • Prepare and finalise clinical documents such as, but not limited to, SOPs, protocols, reports and IMPD/IND regulatory filing documents.

  • Proactively identifies and drives process improvements.

  • Presents technical analytical data clearly and concisely to customers, i.e., internal and external regulatory inspections.

  • Building collaborations and partnerships to ensure our team stays on top of emerging scientific developments.

  • Implement assigned NME transfers and related projects.


how to succeed

The successful candidate will be a motivated, creative scientist with the ability to connect with customers to accomplish goals and objectives while encouraging an environment of collaboration, collegiality and positive communication. You will also bring:

  • 1-2 years relevant experience

  • Experience and/or knowledge in health authority regulatory submissions, data trending and statistical analysis and knowledge of protein stability 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Pharmacy or related scientific field is required. 

  • A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Biology, Pharmacy or related scientific field is preferred.

Desirable:

  • At least 3 years’ experience or related post graduate academic experience.

  • Knowledgeable of FDA/EMEA regulatory requirements applicable to biologics and/or pharmaceuticals. 

  • Knowledge of stability data trending and protein stability is an advantage. 

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and diverse team environment is crucial, as is attention to detail and maintaining a high level of quality and integrity in all aspects of the position.


Details:

This contract will run for a 12 month period and has a chance of extension. 

Individuals work in a hybrid office/home environment. 

Please note this is NOT a laboratory-based position and individuals will be desk-based.
