Senior Communications Manager

PAYE, Umbrella or LTD, outside IR35


We're looking for a phenomenal Communicator, with an understanding of public affairs and proactive partner engagement to help us support the work of our company. You will work as part of the Enterprise Communications team to lead external engagement strategies to improve our reputation in UK. You will build and manage relationships with external business partners, partners and media, and your strategic social media and digital communication engagement will be integral to our successes.


Responsibilities:


  • Support and drive the proactive communication platforms of Johnson & Johnson in UK to support our reputation
  • Support the establishment of an external communications group to ensure strategic alignment with business external communications
  • Assisting with executive leaders? management communications, including building media programmes for priority platforms and programmes
  • Proactively address issues and crisis management with outstanding processes and proactive planning and responses working collaboratively with the entire Media team help mitigate issues and to manage JNJ news on a global scale
  • Work with business, policy partners and industry associations to support communications in the development of public health, policy and regulatory frameworks
  • Develop a digital strategy and content plan to communicate to key external partners, including employee engagement in digital communications and an executive social outreach program
  • Successfully work with multiple teams to present the interests of the entire Johnson & Johnson Company with one voice
  • Ensures consistency and continuity in the practice communications
  • Act as the trusted source of holistic information and effective strategy and SOP adherence for regional business and country communications by bringing an enterprise perspective to their partners
  • Integrate data to craft an appropriate strategy, demonstrating an innate sense of f multichannel approaches to driving messaging.


Education/experience



  • Minimum 8 years senior-level experience in communication with a focus on reputation-building work
  • Integrating and aligning people and processes to build efficiencies and standards in a sophisticated, decentralised and complex environment
  • Specialist in National and local media, with responsibility for assessing the media landscape to establish critical relationships with the key reporters and to drive the positioning of J&J as the global leader in health care in the media
