Imagine your next role as a Senior Planner. Be part of Global Planning, Schaffhausen Fill Finish site platform. The Global Material Requirements Planning team is responsible for the planning and replenishment of direct materials and consumables essential to producing our pharmaceutical products for our patients. 


About the role.

Planning and procurement of direct materials, converting the output of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the Detailed Schedule (DS) into material requirements to ensure availability of the right quantity and quality of components to the production lines, within agreed lead times, and managing the relationship with assigned suppliers.

Contribute to the MRP department Advanced Planning Transformation:

⦁ Enhance digitalization by proposing, driving, and supporting systems integration and implementation.

⦁ Apply a continuous improvement mindset to drive or accelerate process optimization.

⦁ Collaborate with key stakeholders in an inclusive way considering diverse perspectives and styles




Key responsibilities: 


  • Based on the monthly plan cycle, create and communicate the Materials Requirements Plan (MRP) to assigned suppliers ensuring reliable supply (forecast, PO management, invoice mismatch handling).

  • Responsible for ensuring business continuity and efficient crisis management for uninterrupted supply (market unexpected events, etc) in collaboration with the relevant departments.

  • Material transport handling (inbound freight, relationship to carrier & customs clearance partner, managing blocked or delayed shipments, resolving missing/wrong documents, labels, etc).

  • Support new product launches ensuring relevant stock is timely available in quantity and quality.

  • Leads S&OP supplier reviews (on assigned portfolio) and partners with Global Procurement to drive supplier performance improvement (timely delivery, quality, quantity, costs).

  • Analysis and reporting to needed platforms (supplier OTIF, SLOB, stock out, STEM, etc).

  • Interfaces globally with EQ Supplier Quality, site Quality, Finance, and warehouse team to resolve quality issues and handle material changes to ensure supply continuity and proper return/ disposal/ replacement of rejected / defective materials, as well as the implementation of needed corrective actions. 

  • Responsible for the inventory management of the materials in scope (maintenance of planning parameters, SLOB management and destruction avoidance, etc). Manage the Phase-in and phase-out process.

  • Improve MRP-specific operating process and work instructions and train team peers as needed.

  • Drive or support local/regional/global initiatives to deliver continuous improvements.

  • Drive or support digitalization enhancing agility and productivity.

  • Effectively partner with internal and external business partners.





how to succeed:

⦁ Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related Business discipline. 

⦁ Supply Chain Certification (e.g. APICS) is desirable. 

⦁ Fluent English, German (C1).

⦁ Continuous improvement and/or Lean Certification is desirable.

⦁ Project management certification is desirable.

⦁ A proven relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics, or Manufacturing) is required. Pharma experience is required. 

⦁ Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multi-national and fast-paced environment. Experience in 2ndary packaging materials and handling Artwork (AW) changes is important. 

⦁ Knowledge of Incoterms. Experience handling carriers and import processes. 

⦁ Project management experience. 

⦁ Strong understanding of SAP processes (material flow, data flow, $$ flow) around material management.

⦁ Microsoft Tools’ strong knowledge (particularly Excel, pivot tables, Power BI). 

⦁ OMP knowledge is preferred.

⦁ Visualization tools are a plus (Tableau, Qlik, etc.).

⦁ Strong analytical skills. Able to manipulate large amounts of data and convert it to clear business information. 

⦁ Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, team-player. 

⦁ Ability to build strong partnership relationships both at site level and platform level.

⦁ Ability to tailor communication to different audiences (written and oral) and make presentations to medium-size audiences.

⦁ Ability to influence others in a matrix environment.

⦁ Ability to apply continuous process improvement tools and drive medium to large and complex projects (process orientation, ability to recognize and remove non-added-value tasks or efforts). 


⦁ Ability to share knowledge and coach peers as needed, communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms. Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions.
