To provide a professional level of expertise and knowledge in the areas of new product verification testing, experimental design, laboratory quality, and research and analysis of field failures.
This role requires the expertise of test design and development to analyse the function of new and existing products. Other requirements include the maintenance of laboratory quality documentation and expertise in mechanics, materials, and international standards in either the academic or industrial field.
Responsibilities:

- Undertake relatively complex technical verification test procedures in accordance with standards
- Develop and run investigations into the failure of a product
- Develop, Design, and update company-related quality procedures
- Focus on advancing the capability of the laboratory by onboarding new equipment following the IQ, OQ procedures
- Translate biomechanical scenarios into functional testing
- Create technical reports
- Create and implement engineering change instructions/materials specifications, Standard operating procedures and Standard testing methods.
- Participate in cross-functional projects in global teams
- Generate test documentation in line with company procedures required for design history files.
- Interact routinely with all levels of customer
Required Experience:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Experience developing novel investigational testing
- Experience in a quality role within a regulated environment preferably within an ISO 17025 framework
- Ability to carry out complex numerical analysis a green belt in six sigma would be advantageous
- Experience in a highly regulated laboratory environment would be preferred
- Experience managing many tasks autonomously
- Experience writing technical reports
