Janssen Sciences Ireland UC is recruiting for an Analytical Recipe Writer - to support technical work in the Malvern site (US)

Janssen Sciences Ireland UC established its operation in Ringaskiddy in 2005 on a 100-acre site with an investment of €500 million. For more than 25 years we have been a global leader in the
field of biomedicines, particularly in ground-breaking monoclonal antibody technology, an approach to producing medicines that launched a new generation of products to treat immune
related diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and plaque psoriasis.
 

The facility in Ringaskiddy is fully operational and currently expanding its operations to continue focusing on producing biomedicines for both the treatment of immune related diseases and new and creative cancer treatments.

Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Scientist / Recipe Writer to join our BioTherapeutics Development & Supply (BTDS) API team in Cork. This role will support technical work in our Malvern site (US). This individual will join a team of approx 12, who are based in both Malvern (US) and Cork. Malvern is responsible for the day-to-day activities and the Cork site provides critical support to the Analytical Development Scientists. 

The role will be working with Assay SMEs, IT and Vendors to gather information regarding different analytical
techniques for recipe development (electronic lab execution) to remove paper-based systems.

Key responsibilities include: 

Development testing and qualification of electronic analytical recipes.
 

This individual will also:
Support Analytical Recipe Writing in Biovia OneLab Compose
 

Collaborate with Assay SMEs, IT and vendor to gather information regarding different analytical techniques for recipe development
 

Collaborate with Master Data team to support and establish industry standards


Perform testing and validation of recipes as part of SDLC compliance


Support and trains users on Biovia OneLab Capture recipes

Qualifications and Experience Required:
 

Relevant Bachelor’s degree in a life science related discipline


At least 18 months relevant pharma industry experience in a GMP setting ideally
 

LIMS or electronic notebook experience
 

Familiarity with Lab Execution Systems or Manufacturing Execution systems
 

Analytical experience

Strong computer and organizational skills
 

Familiarity with programming languages (e.g.: Java, Python, r, Regex, HTML) required.
 

Excellent communication (oral and written)

Attention to detail
 

Work independently and as part of a team
 

Self-motivated, adaptable, with a positive attitude
 

Able to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and follow instructions.
 

Ability to troubleshoot issues and interface with technical experts.
 

Experience with Good Documentation Practices preferred
 

Experience/knowledge of scientific techniques and analytical assays preferred
