roles and responsibilities

In this role you will lead the investment planning activities for multiple Sub-Franchises within the DePuySynthes Function of Johnson & Johnson. The role also involves the coordination of the supply execution activities through the Global supply network, out to our end-customers. This will involve: 

  • Monthly engagement with in-field sales teams to determine a set of capital investment demand plans

  • Conversion of local investment plans into an upstream set of demand signals 

  • Network capacity planning through collaboration with the UK and EMEA Warehouses and Kitting Branch Plants to ensure on-time consignment shipments 

  • Key business partner to the commercial organisation, ensuring customer and commercial investment needs are optimally planned and delivered through the end-to-end supply chain.

  • Optimising consignment stock levels as part of the deployment planning process in support of inventory optimisation initiatives and targets. 

  • Effective order book management of consignment sets on order, Identifying supply gaps and collaborating closely with the International Deployment Group to expedite and resolve issues

  • Lead the IBP alignment meetings for specific Sub-Franchise with the relevant Business Unit Director and their team.

  • Drive process improvements throughout the Demand and general IBP areas, challenging the status quo, using large data sets to drive data based decision making.

  • Day-to-day management and leadership responsibility for at least one Supply Chain Analyst.

  • Cross functional role – strong links with Customer Services, Commercial, Deliver, Global/Regional Plan.


how to succeed

Advanced Analytics is essential to drive large data sets into decision making. A Can Do - Growth Mindset. Customer focused & solution orientated, committed to a Continuous Improvement Culture. You will also bring:

  • Educated to Degree level, ideally in a Supply Chain or commercially orientated subject.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in planning, sourcing or general supply chain/ S&OP /IBP management is required.

  • Certification from an accredited Logistics program preferred (PMAC, APICS or Professional Logistician) is an asset

  • Experience from within the Medical Devices industry

  • Previous working with sophisticated business processes, and validated understanding of DP and/or ERP systems such as JDE 8.12 and/or SAP would be looked on favourably 

  • Experience in scenario planning is preferred
