roles and responsibilities

Johnson & Johnson Health Technology is looking for a LIMS Developer to join a fast-paced, innovative, and highly visible team building critical software solutions. This will involve: 

  • Working in an agile development team to iteratively deliver system updates and product releases.

  • Configure and customise our LabVantage LIMS platform as necessary.

  • Work on instrument setup and configuration

  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, strategic direction, overall organisational goals and individual user needs.

  • Act as a Coach and Mentor to drive Automation, DevOps and industry best practices.

  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and passion in solving business problems and staying ahead of current trends related to the latest software technologies.

  • Collaborating with the Product Owners and Business Partners to review product requirements and user stories, propose viable implementation options, and define specific software tasks.

  • Creating elegant, well-tested solutions to complex problems.


how to succeed

You will have a proven ability to lead and influence others at all levels within the organisation, be well organised and will have excellent decision making skills.  You will also bring:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • Experience configuring and customising LabVantage LIMS implementations or similar LIMS platforms.

  • Experience interfacing with lab instruments.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in leading complex projects.

  • Must be able to solve sophisticated business problems and present recommendations to senior management optimally.

  • Must have good organisational and decision-making skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and influence others at all levels within the organisation.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run until the end of 2024. This role is a hybrid position, 3 days on site but this can be flexible.
