Be part of Global Planning, Large Molecule API platform, an award-winning Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain team. The Global Material Requirements Planning team is responsible for the replenishment of raw materials for our production of biopharmaceutical products for our patients. 

The Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Team leader is accountable for co-ordinate all activities related to the planning and procurement of raw materials, consumables, and components. The person will engage with multiple internal and external partners, communicating the plan and any potential deviation as well as work on long-term strategies to support the MPS. This role opens for the successful candidate a long-term career in the Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-Ordinate the development, maintenance, communication, and publication of the Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) to ensure patients' requirements are met
  • Maintain Raw Materials, Consumables, and Components inventories within target, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired materials (Inventory Destruction Avoidance(IDA))
  • Contribute to the global balancing of Materials within Global Planning, ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability, and cost
  • Coordinate required communication into the Supply Review Meetings (SRM) and Short-Term Exception Management (STEM) processes at both Site and Platform Levels.
  • Partner with Global Procurement to drive Supplier performance improvements including quality and timely delivery (OTD)
  • Partner globally with supplier quality (ESIQ), site quality, finance, and warehouse staff regarding rejected / defective materials, making the necessary physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a timely return of goods or disposal.
  • Lead regional and global programs to deliver continuous improvements.
  • Develop, coach, and guide a diverse team of planners in the execution, strategies, and realization of departmental and company goals, and advance succession planning by holding career conversations with staff.



 

Qualifications

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related Business field is critical.
  • Supply Chain Certification is preferred e.g. APICS.
  • Lean or Project Management Certifications are desirable.

 

Experience and Skills:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics, or Manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Leadership role (People Management)
  • Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multi-national environment
  • Ability to mentor and develop talent
  • Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms. Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions
  • Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships both at the site level and platform level
  • Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects
  • Possess clear ambition to progress to leadership roles of added responsibility within Johnson & Johnson
  • Experience in the use of SAP would be beneficial
