This role provides an exciting opportunity to embed & sustain continuous improvement processes/programs in line with JJPS standards at our J&J Innovative Medicine site in Little Island.
roles and responsibilities
Operational Excellence (OE) partner responsible to support Business Unit Leadership Teams and functional departments through the development of business process standards in line with existing JJPS standards, e.g. Standard Work, 6S, Digital Performance Management, A3 Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping.
Shape and lead site-wide change programs at J&J Innovative Medicine through lean & six sigma methodologies.
Embed & sustain ‘Managing Site Performance’ business process standard on site.
Lead JJPS TIPs & mentor initiative leads on JJPS methodology.
Develop and cultivate a continuous improvement culture.
Enhance the involvement and engagement of employees in process improvements.
Ensure all continuous improvement projects are conducted to the highest of standards in a safe, quality-focused, and effective manner.
Innovative, adaptable and collaborative approach to business challenges
Incorporates different perspectives, backgrounds, and talent to generate effective ideas or solutions and engage in open and constructive conversations, focused on high-performance teams
Serve as a role model for making Credo-based decisions, helping others understand the value of Credo-based decisions.
Strong facilitator capable of leading cross functional workshops/mapping sessions
Will be part of a team of 1 other OE partner supporting the development and strengthening of management systems and processes to improve performance and create higher value to customers.
Act as DRI for individual Lean Programs shaping key strategy for the program, change management and partner management at site level.
Drives all Lean Programs to site standard within their supported BU/function.
A person needs to be a high performer, adaptable in a dynamic fast paced and changing environment.
Self-starter and capable of independent work and dealing with organizational change, whilst there are other BEX partners, this is a stand-alone role within their assigned business unit and they will be responsible for deploying work items for that unit.
how to succeed
To be successful in this role, candidates should have experience in lean, operational excellence, program management, or continuous improvement, preferably within the medtech industry, though candidates from other industries with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. The role is open to graduates with industrial experience, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to apply their skills in a dynamic environment.
You will also bring:
Essential
Third level Degree or qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Desirable
Certified to Black/Green belt level or relevant Lean or Six Sigma Qualification
Proven track record in leading significant project and/or change initiatives that have delivered breakthrough results for an organisation.
Benefits
This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a minimum of 12 months and will be reviewed for an extension.
