roles and responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes including:

  • conducting experiments and scale-up studies to validate process changes and ensure process reproducibility,

  • ensuring smooth transitions of upscaling activities from laboratory to pilot and full-scale production,

  • analyzing existing processes to identify areas for efficiency and quality improvements.

  • Support the installation, qualification and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, including Global Technical Operations, Quality Operations, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure alignment of new processes with industry standards.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and validation protocols.

  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing issues in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).


how to succeed


Qualifications:

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field.


Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years (B.Sc.) or 2 years (M.Sc.) experience in a highly regulated industry is required. Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

  • Solid understanding of process design, validation, and optimization methodologies, particularly in regulated environments.

  • Proficiency in using process simulation and modeling software and statistical analysis tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process challenges.

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

  • Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.


Preferred:

  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).

  • A proactive, hands-on approach coupled with a passion for working in dynamic laboratory and manufacturing environments.

  • Dedication for continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously while remaining adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

  • High attention to detail and a dedication to quality and compliance. 

  • Ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.

  • Dedication to upholding laboratory and manufacturing safety standards.


Benefits

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a minimum of 12 months.
