Imagine your next project to support modelling activities in the Manufacturing Science and Technology department within Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine. This would initially be approximately a 12-month contract position in the Process Science, Modeling and Data group. 


The role will involve utilising process modeling and data science to support various advanced therapy manufacturing processes. In addition, the position would likely include investigational support for identifying process optimizations and/or root cause analysis. Finally, the role may also involve developing characterization models for specific stages of the manufacturing process.

roles and responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy real-time multivariate monitoring models using statistical software to support the technology transfer and manufacturing of advanced therapy processes

  • Develop and implement data pipelines automatically connecting various data sources using, for example, SQL, Databricks, python.

  • Apply creative solutions to various data science problems, from statistical analysis to machine learning.

  • Provide technical data science support to process investigations.

  • Create predictive models to help achieve optimal process performance.

We are seeking an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a strong analytical mindset, and demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills. Whether through industry experience or academic research, candidates should have a solid foundation in data science, process modeling, and statistical analysis.


You will also bring:

  • MS/BS in an engineering discipline (biomedical, chemical, biochemical, etc.) or a computer science background.

  • Knowledge and experience in data analyses and report writing is required.

  • +1 year experience using R, python, and/or other statistical software such as SIMCA, Tableau, Minitab.

  • Knowledge of statistics and analyses (e.g. ANOVA, t-tests, regression, control charts).

  • Knowledge about cell culture processes is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Team player: working in cross-functional teams.


Benefits

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a minimum of 12 months and will be reviewed for an extension.
