Imagine your next role as a Supply Chain Development Project Manager who is responsible to implement, according to the SCD-specific key deliverables, the end-to-end supply chain design for VCD&O PMO projects for NPIs and established products or SCD-specific projects. 

About the department

The Supply Chain Development (SCDL) team is responsible and accountable to develop and implement an efficient, robust, and compliant end-to-end supply chain for new products or established products, including their successful launch into the global commercial markets by coordinating the execution of key functional group activities. The SCD team provides a representation of the end-to-end supply function on new product teams being led by the Value Chain Leader and provides JSC representation on the Global / Regional Commercial Teams, Integrated Brand Value Teams, and Local JSC Launch Teams. The SCD team will also be part of the VCD&O- PMO core project team for PMO projects.

The Supply Chain Development Project Manager (SCD-PM) is responsible to implement, according to the SCD-specific key deliverables, the end-to-end supply chain design for VCD&O PMO projects for NPIs and established products or SCD-specific projects. This includes API production, drug product production, packaging, distribution, and physical/financial flows. This role will coordinate cross-functional Janssen Supply Chain teams to support the completion of SCD key deliverables on request of the VCD&O PMO team and will be part of the PMO-related core project team. In addition, the SCD PM, and will also own all aspects of SCD performance management metrics. 


Responsibilities

  • Lead and design implementation of the end-to-end supply chain for design for VCD&O PMO projects for NPIs and established products or SCD-specific projects, which includes API production, drug product production, packaging, distribution in accordance with the SCD key deliverables: financial flows, master data set up, artworks, distribution assessment for new lanes, authoring investment at risk, registration samples if needed.  

  • Build & lead cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance and Compliance, Finance, Planning, PaCOE, Deliver, and other necessary functions to drive successful supply chain implementation according to the SCD key deliverables and processes.

  • The role will be a member of the VCD&O PMO project core team and will be responsible to assure that the SCD project plan will be in line with the overall project milestones.

  • Build strong partnerships and provide leadership to challenge and influence stakeholder requirements and optimize supply chain processes globally.

  • Drive all aspects of SCD departmental metrics, reporting, and governance which pertain to the role.

  • Demonstrate application of formal project management capabilities (e.g. FPX). Communicate effectively across disciplines and companies to keep management and key stakeholders informed of project status, issues, conflicts, and mitigating actions as necessary.

To be successful in this role you have:

  • About 6 years of supply chain experience, preferably including planning and from the pharmaceutical field

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex situations with opposing priorities

  • Ability to lead global cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of regulatory/compliance guidelines

  • Ability to communicate effectively to international cross-functional stakeholders and management

  • Excellent analytical skills and a process-oriented mindset

  • Shows attention to detail without losing the high-level view

  • Experience working in a regional/global setting, or experience in large-scale business transformation projects is required

  • ERP knowledge and practical application are preferred.

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, are required

  • APICS, Process Excellence, or PMP/FPX certification are a plus
