Pay rate range: Competitive hourly rate (Independent Contractor and Employment Consultant options available)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the rollout and implementation of our new Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) solution for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of implementing technology solutions in scientific environments. As the Project Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the smooth adoption and usage of the ELN solution by our 500 scientists within our CPDS (chemical pharmaceutical development & supply) organization.
roles and responsibilities
Plan, execute, and manage the end-to-end implementation of the ELN solution across the organization.
Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgeting.
Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of the ELN solution with existing systems and infrastructure.
Conduct regular meetings with project team members, stakeholders, and scientists to communicate project status, gather feedback, and address concerns.
Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Facilitate user training sessions and workshops to ensure proper understanding and adoption of the ELN solution.
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and generate progress reports for management.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to scientists and end-users during and after the ELN solution rollout.
how to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in project management, computer science, or a related field. A higher degree or relevant certifications (such as PMP, PRINCE2) would be advantageous.
Proven experience in managing complex IT projects, preferably within scientific or research environments.
Strong understanding of electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and their adoption challenges.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor project activities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, scientists, and vendors.
Familiarity with project management tools and software for tracking progress and managing documentation.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills to motivate, guide, and inspire project team members.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to scientific data management is desirable.
