Summary:


 

Janssen Sciences UC Ireland is recruiting for a QC Analyst – Sample Management, located in Ringaskiddy. The QC analyst will be part of a dynamic, fast paced team which is responsible for managing all QC testing samples and reference materials.



 

 

Job Description:


 

This is a volume driven position that directly touches products. Handles testing samples and performs aliquoting of same. Manages inventory of all QC sample, retain and reference materials. Responds to requests from stakeholders for testing samples/reference materials. Plans and executes international shipments. Manages reference material and critical reagents. Receives raw materials into QC. Receives process gases to site. Ensures all activities follow SOP’s/WI’s and protocols where appropriate and are performed in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Studies work processes, measurements and performance metrics to identify improvement areas and recommends new or modified procedures based on findings. Collaborates with customers, suppliers and associates to define and improve quality standards and expectations. Participates on process improvement teams. Leads/takes part in Quality Investigations. Completes GMP document updates.


 

Note:  This is a non-testing role.


 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending daily meetings, working on my own initiative.
  • Working on process improvements
  • Providing sample management and reference material handling for QC testing teams
  • Training new analysts
  • Always aim to meet site metrics
  • Promoting 6S within the laboratories
  • Use of laboratory software such as LIMS, SAP, SDMS, Trackwise, etc.


 

Qualifications:


 

 

Education and Experience/ Competencies:

  • 3rd level qualification in a science related discipline. 
  • Knowledge of laboratory sample management is preferred. 
  • Industry experience (GMP laboratory) is essential. 
  • Experience with LIMS systems is desirable.
