Location: Liffey Valley, Dublin (Remote working)

This role is ideal for someone who wants to progress their career collaborating across multiple functional areas and working closely with a highly dedicated and motivated team.  




roles and responsibilities

You will support the Quality Management System and provide guidance to the J&J Vision EMEA region on quality system issues.  



This will involve: 

  • Maintains quality records on nonconformances, project outcomes, and stakeholder input field in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Coordinates change control documentation and approval process. 

  • Makes proposals and assists in the development of corrective action plans and monitors implementation. 

  • Follow up on closure of corrective and preventive actions. 

  • Conducts investigations, collects data, analyses trends and prepares reports for assigned quality processes. 

  • Has thorough understanding of process criteria and regulations and business impact of decisions and actions. 

  • Supports the implementation of emerging regulations by performance and documentation of related activities such as Economic Operator Verification under EU-MDR.

  • Supports the coordination of the Training Program locally and regionally.

  • Assesses current quality systems and recommends improvements in order to enhance quality and reduce cycle time. 

  • Prepares for and facilitates audits and inspections. 

  • Monitors trends, identifies issues, recommends and implements appropriate actions. 

  • Prepare data to present at monthly and quarterly review meetings.



how to succeed

As a Quality Systems Specialist you hold 3 to 5 years experience working within a medical device, pharmaceutical or other highly regulatory related industries.


You will also bring:

  • You will be degree qualified, preferably a science degree, with experience of working in a regulated environment.

  • Exceptional communication skills to allow you to work effectively across various levels and teams

  • A passion for continuous improvement

  • It would also be preferred if you were knowledgeable in MMD/EU-MDR regulations, ISO 13

  • You will have wide Quality Systems experience and be able to work effectively across many different functions internally and externally which will ensure that we meet both the customer and the business needs.

  • You will have a strong sense of personal responsibility and be able to work both as an individual leader and be a strong team player. 

  • Continuous improvement will be at the heart of your decision making, looking for areas in which we can create efficiencies through better working practices to deliver enhanced compliance. 

  • You'll conduct day-to-day and strategic activities in both base business and emerging regulations environments.

  • You will work within established guidelines. Some amount of initiative and judgement is required.485 Standard and have experience of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
