Imagine your next role as a Safety Specialist who is supporting the implementation of all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and processes within Operations.



Responsibilities:



The job holder carries out the work within the Operations department. The core tasks include 

The EHS Manufacturing Specialist is the contact person regarding EHS-related activities such as improvements (BI/CI), evaluations, and other EHS matters within Operations. The position holder builds a strong network within the company.


The focus of the position is on supporting, continuing, and improving EHS standards and Safety culture within Operations. In addition, the position holder is the primary contact person for the EHS&S department at the Leiden site.


The EHS Specialist Operations is proficient in core tasks and specializes in other areas of work as required. The job holder is able to carry out assignments independently.

The differences between the levels in this job profile are indicated where applicable. The decision to award a position holder a promotion is taken by the direct manager, in consultation with the Sr. Director of Operations and HR, if required.


Essential Job Duties 

The core tasks of a Manufacturing EHS Specialist are:

⦁ Support EHS Standards (IOSS) within Operations.

⦁ Monitoring Operations related to EHS Incidents, Good Saves, and CURVE CAPAs.

⦁ Support Operations related EHS research and improvements, including implementation.

⦁ A primary point of contact for Operations during EHS inspections/audits and follow-ups.


All activities must meet the requirements of cGMP and EHS guidelines.






The ideal candidate will have:


  • HBO in a relevant field of study and detailed knowledge of EHS

  • Great knowledge in collecting and analyzing the available data sources to arrive at data-driven decision-making

  • Proven working experience in cGMP requirements insofar as they relate to the activities of the Manufacturing EHS Specialist

  • Experience in working in supporting manufacturing operators in terms of safety

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/medical field

  • Regulatory Knowledge

  • Coaching skills

  • Diploma in Environment Healthy and Safety Managemen
