Imagine your next role as a Senior Engineer MSAT Innovation who will join the newly established Site Schaffhausen MSAT Large Molecule Innovation Deployment Team. 

In your role, you will lead cross-functional project teams to prepare and execute the deployment of innovative technologies e. g.  in the area of Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) and Advanced Process Control (APC) to the manufacturing shop floor. You will help to define technology deployment strategies and actively shape your own role.


About the department: 


We belong to the Manufacturing, Science & Technology (MSAT) organization for the MTO (Manufacturing and Technical Operations) Large and Small Molecule Manufacturing Platform. We support the Parenterals small and large molecule filling, visual inspection, device assembly, and pack operations at Johnson&Johnson Innovative Medicine Schaffhausen. We are currently establishing a new team focusing on the deployment of innovative manufacturing technologies for Parenteral products.





Key responsibilities: 


  • Act as lead for technology innovation deployment projects, mainly in the area of Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) and Advanced Process Control (APC)

  • Actively support technology development projects in the proof-of-concept phase as a core team member and Site MSAT representative

  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to define and then realize technology deployment strategies (Operations, Automation, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, etc.)

  • Responsible for initiating and leading project-related change controls

  • Support definition of standard processes, documentation templates, and best practices

  • Present project updates and strategies in different forums incl. leadership meetings and steering committees

  • Maintain excellent partnerships with all business partners

  • Assure compliance with the GMP, EHS, and SOX requirements and guidelines




The ideal candidate for this position should have:

  • University/bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry or equivalent

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector and GMP environment, especially:

-parenteral manufacturing processes

-analytical technologies relevant for parenterals

-knowledge of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance cGMP and EH&S

  • Ideally initial experiences in the area of Process Analytical Technologies (PAT)/In-line analytics and process automation

  • Experiences in leading cross-functional project teams

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving competencies

  • Ability to operate in a complex global matrix organization with multiple stakeholders

  • Flexibility, motivation, and innovative team playing spirit

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in English, German is a plus

This role offers a competitive hourly rate & a supportive working environment. The role will run initially for a year and the first contract is initially until 31/12/2024 and the possibility of renewal thereafter.
