Senior Finance Data Analyst

Location: Ringaskiddy, Cork

Working mode: Hybrid, 1-2 days per week on-site

Duration: 12 month contract

Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week

Hourly rate: Competitive hourly rate (PAYE, Umbrella and Ltd pay type options available)

DePuy Synthes, a market-leading Medical Devices business within Johnson & Johnson, has  an outstanding opportunity for a Finance Data Analyst within the MedTech Principal Operations (MTPO). Seeking an enthusiastic self-driven individual who will be reporting into  the Finance Manager and supporting Orthopaedics Business Unit Finance team as we approach a critical period in separating as a standalone company. This role is a great entry  point for somebody to work in the strong finance team with the focus on data analysis and  automation. 

roles and responsibilities

Data Engineering and Automation 

  • Design and maintain end-to-end Alteryx data pipelines to consolidate scattered finance data (Affiliate gross profit P&Ls, Inventory, SKU-level data, etc.).  

  • Design analytical dashboards for financial analysts and senior management.

  • Build workflows to automate and optimize existing finance quarter-close processes 

  • Provide high level management analysis at consolidated level 

Lead specific financial processes 

  • Monitor legal entity profit margins and deliver required LE targets (DIP process)

  • Lead regular updates of the P&L by product flow (Tax P&L) 


how to succeed

Essential: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 

  • Experience building data pipelines / workflows (ETL) in Alteryx or in any other tool

  • Experience building finance or business dashboards in Power BI / Qlik / Excel any  other tool 

Desirable: 

  • Initial experience with supply chain finance or FP&A
